ButterFly

Another creature of god took flight from my balcony. Munching through my kafir leaves before finally morphing into a pupae and emerging out as a butterfly one week later. Amazing how all creatures great and small instinctively know about survival.

Amazing isn't it?? Somehow I only see the caterpillars crawling around on my leaves ...never the full process.

Was dissapointed that after munching and leaving horrible bites on the leaves, I see not the butterfly, I took action. I would pick them up put them in a glass jar feed them daily. Besides, it's good science lesson for the children.

SAHM:
Remember to put fresh young leaves every day. They are gregarious eaters. Please cover the glass jar with a holely cling wrap. 1: caterpillar will crawl out. 2: ants/lizards might eat this helpless grub.
Finally when the pupae turns black quickly open the cover(usually in the morning)for, the wings will be distorted if they are unable to open fully to air dry.
