No flowers give this much joy
No cakes give this much comfort
No presents give this much delight
Nothing gives more gratifying than a Big Bear Hug
A big bear hug from all my little ones that made me mum

Happy Mother's day!

PS - why is it that only the youngest ones give the biggest hugs nowadays?

i think there is an inverse relationship between the enthusiasm of the hug with the dependence of the child.

the younger the child, the greater the dependence on the parent, hence the bigger the hug.

not only between siblings but within the same sibling as well. case in point being that my daughter used to hug me tight when she was in pre-school. now? i'll be lucky to get a hand-shake.

After pondering about your write. I agree. Youngest always gives me a tightest hug when I arrive home from travelling while eldest and second, just a "hi Mum!"
