Do we need to talk?

My 9 year old met her friend at the bakery after ballet class. They exchanged smiles and glances. Why no greetings, I asked. "Oh, no words needed mum. A smile says it all" Huh?? More and more time is spend on emails, smses, blogging and msn. Come one day we really don't need to talk anymore. Just a knowing nod and a smile. Cos ,we would have probably read something somewhere about it already. We lose what we don't need. Oh dear I may lose my voice one day. Horrors, I may not be able to string my sentences correctly.

Haha...your 9er is cute. She has quite the right answer. Maybe they see a lot of each other and all has been said. Or maybe mommy was there so they were a little shy. You know how kids are.

However, I still think we need to talk, regardless of the high tech channels. It's always nice to come face to face and share thoughts and ideas. And don't let me start about gossiping.

agus: It's the eye contact and the body language that makes talking so much more interesting (:

The lost art of conversation as they say and on the other hand the impatient would say 'who has time for this' in this rush-rush world ...

Hi, I read that you like Kong Guan's yam paus too. May I know where do you buy yours? When I was in Singapore, I had a hard time looking for it. I prefer the mini ones though which is even harder to find .. do let me know~ Thanx!!
