BlackOut

Vasovagal. A new word learnt on gaining consciousness. Fainting due to sudden stress/shock/hunger/tiredness. A morning of cooking/washing and baking. A quick bite of lunch. All culminate to tiredness and low glucose level. Late saturday morning, during the process of blood drawing, I passed out. Upon waking, found the nurse wiping the sweat and checking my pulse. Doc on site assured me, it was normal. After an hour and throwing up, I was able to stand up. It's going to be a while before I next volunteer.

was that your 1st time? may need to prepare yourself the next time - have a good meal with lots of fluids before donation.

look at the bright side - your pint went on to make someone better!

believe it or not, blood donation actually IMPROVES your health.

Thank you for all the concerns. I am fine. Spent the weekend recuperating. Never knew about the possible side effect till now.
