11 year old daughter is having a two day ' Home e-learning' starting today. By post if the student has no access to the computer. The 2nd year the school has conducted this programme? A refreshing change. Woke up at 7 a.m. after breakfast, in her comfy pyjamas, she signed in. Followed through each lesson according to the time allotted for each subject. Even a half hour break for 'recess'. However, not all parents are in favour of the arrangement. Disrupt their daily work routine. Conveniently scheduled on a tuesday and wednesday for the obvious reason

My 12 year-old is having hers this thursday and friday.
She is quite independent, so I should be ok to still do what I have to do without having to supervise her.
BTW - whats the obvious reason for tue and wed schedule?
Wow interesting concept, good one too.

Stringing the weekends together for a quick get away(which I know many are always on a look out)if home learning is placed beside the weekend.

Getting prepared, in case there is a need to be quarantine at home. At the height of SARS the schools were closed for 10 days in Spore. Many schools had to sent out assignments/worksheets to the students via post.
