well, often the dates do not suit everyone, but if the occasion is important enough, sacrifices would have to be made.
if the family goes away together just once a year, my name would be 1st on the list.

This is what I hope to inculcate. Siblings and parents spending time together. A family outing at least once a year.
Yes, it gets more difficult as they get older. Also with differing interest, it can get even more difficult. But families must spend time bonding.
