My First
After residing here for the past 18 years, I finally had the opportunity
to attend the National Day Parade!!! The last time being held at the stadium.
My thanks to Helen and Alfred for the tickets.
At 4p.m. with great anticipation, we stuck the parking disc and zoom....
Yes, all 5 of us. Even MDH could not refuse the invitation.
Awed by the merticulous clockwork precision of the participants
and the co ordination of the whole parade.
41 years, Singapore has grown from strength to strength.
Where others are still trying, she has come through clean and gleaming.
Where others are still trying, she has made that RED dot known
Where others are still trying, she has provided well for all who strived
Where others are still trying, she has given an education to all who seek
Where others are still trying, she has proved that small is beautiful and capable.

aiyoh! you find this show interesting meh? hehe
Actually I was shocked that people had to pay to see the parade. Luckily, we don't and yet most of us prefer to watch it on TV.

My sentiment exactly. That is why I waited 18 years and on a persuasive invitation of a friend before attending the parade. Well, I am glad I did. Something you would like to do just once. Being in the crowd, the participants and the mood. Give it a try next year won't you ;)
Woa, you put us some Singaporeans to shame .... Standing tall and proud for Singapore Liling! There're so many things "imperfect" of Singapore. But I guess that's just the way we are. But, yes! I'm proud to call myself a Singaporean.
Chris
In life nothing is perfect. As the chinese proverb goes,"even the lengths of our 10 fingers are not equal". As long as these imprefections are acknowldeged and swiftly rectified.
